I think Dan Serafini is a bigger a-hole. It’s hard to top murdering your father in law and basically killing your mother in law (suicide after the fact) because you need money after squandering the millions you made during your career.

Kingman played in the wrong era. A standoffish slugger who can't field and bats .240 but can change a game with one swing of his mighty bat would be a prized player today. But he played in an era of no DH when personality, batting average and durability formed most of the analysis.

Sounds like Farva from Super Troopers.

A dumb, unfunny guy with zero charisma who thinks he is the coolest and funniest guy in the room.

Perlman does one in Bonds in that same series on YT. Much bigger one than Kingman.

Kingman was an introvert and it’s tough to be an introvert as a member of a professional sports team, both in dealing with teammates and the media. I have heard that he’s actually become very chill and friendly in his late 70s and is a good guy with fans at card shows, etc.

He was asked by a kid to sign autograph on a baseball. He took the ball & walked away, laughing. Listen to that podcast & he is clearly a bigger arsehole than Bonds or others listed here.

He mentions Bonds and Kent, along with John Rocker, as notorious assholes in the more modern era.

Also mentions Mike Sweeney, Jason Schmidt, Torri Hunter, Shawn Green, and the late Gerald Williams as really nice guys.

Kingman was walking off the field after a spring practice one day holding a ball and saying okay kids who wants a ball, the 10 kids there are all like meee, meee, meee so he what does he do? Laughs and keeps it and walks away.

Maybe he found Christianity and changed, if that is the case, bless him.
