and they barely scraped out wins against Florida and LSU teams so bad they fired coaches mid season. This has to weigh heavy on Kiffin’s decision. The best teams he can he put together at Ole Miss are still only marginally better than Florida and LSU teams at their worse.

It puts the ceiling at the different jobs right in his face.

They had an extremely weak schedule this year. Georgia and Oklahoma were the only teams with a pulse that they played. A schedule like this doesn't happen often and might be his peak at Ole Miss.

If he is ever going to jump somewhere else, this is probably the year to do it. His stock will never be higher than this year with the amount of open premier jobs and depleted talent pool of coaches.

Good point. Before the season the schedule looked tough on paper with LSU, Florida and South Carolina all being highly ranked along with Georgia and OU. But LSU, Florida, and South Carolina all turning out to be bad teams have made their schedule pretty easy. And they still played a bunch of close 1 score games to some bad teams.

It also took Kiffin finding an unheard of gem of a QB in the transfer portal to put it all together.

It will be difficult to replicate this kind of season going forward at Ole Miss and Kiffin knows it.

Sometimes it is hard when you are everyone's Super Bowl. Ole Miss is just starting to become like Alabama, they want to knock off the King.

Almost like winning close games is a sign of a good team or something

LSU fans are just as retarded as us

Who knows what the mountaintop is under these new rules. We've come a long way from Matt Luke and Hugh Freeze enjoying Madea movies.

Good thing LSU is 29-16 in the last 45 "super bowls."

Ole Miss hasn't won more than 2 in a row against LSU since 1997-1999.

Ole Miss has eight seasons with a winning SEC record since the SEC went to divisions in 1992. For reference, LSU has 24.

Ole Miss has played in exactly zero conference championship games since 1992. LSU has played in 6.

Congratulations on your great season - we are all really happy for you. You and TAMU can be very proud of finally being relevant for a season.

I think the intent of this thread is to emphasize the advantages of LSU over Ole Miss. But it sounds a lot like you whipped us 2 out of 3 years and you are in a NC hunt, but, but, but. This thing will self correct in due time, quit obsessing over Ole Miss’ recent success. We know we will be back.

And Kiffin isn’t comming.

Nobody is blowing their schedule anymore.
That Georgia/Oklahoma back-to-back effort was pretty impressive.
