I watched some film that was solely dedicated to breaking down the saints offensive line. Penning was the worst. Technique, knowing assignments etc.
He’s not good.

That sack was on Trey Pipkins III (and to some extent Herbert).
Trey Pipkins III couldn't stop BJ Green II (a rookie) once Herbert tried to retreat in the pocket.
Trevor Penning seemed to have Josh Hines-Allen (7th year pro) fairly well locked up. Now, give it time for a 2nd effort and who knows . . .

Just because he didn't give up the sack in the clip I posted doesn't mean he didn't get beat. He did. If the RT didn't give up that sack, the sack 100% would have happened 1 second later from the left lol

Not sure why u got downvoted, it’s clearly the RTs guy.
Chargers are down both starting tackles that were both very good. Hard pill to swallow for any team and will wreck any offense.
