We can get a big name coach and be successful

If no big name is on board- hire Frank at a discount, keep defense as is, and hire the best OC at highest salary…allowing him to hire an entire new offensive staff

If he beats Oklahoma he’s the coach. And when the program crashes and burns, I’ll blame people like you.

When you have to hire the "best" coordinators......you are fricked. See Les Miles, Ed (when his left), and Kelly for examples. Hiring Frank would be a fricking disaster.

correct and it always is why you need a coach who can call one side of the ball or at least employ his system like saban, urban, and pros like kellen moore, payton, shanahan, etc.

He will be 3-1 and the players and fans will be clamoring for him to be promoted. Probably will be carried off the field if he beats OU. You trust our admin not to give in to the public pressure after something like that? Ryan Clark will probably be threatening a riot if it doesn’t happen. It’s the same beats as Orgeron. Kiffin will be unavailable or tell us no, admin will say frick it and just promote him.

Arkansas did everything they could to lose that game yesterday and LSU could still only clip them by a point.

Eh maybe. But it would be crazy to think that you pay a guy $50M to go away only to hire someone who had a terrible HC record. I realize this is LSU/Louisiana that we’re talking about though.

Hopefully the point is moot. I’d be very surprised if this team went into Norman and got a W.
