I love vpns and being about to fake the country of origin. It was fun when messing around with UKs block of America last year.

However, X and other places really need a way to verify where accounts are from. Too many accounts named stuff like "Born in America" that are really from Pakistan or Ukraine and are just trying to stir shite up in the USA.

I don't know how they do it while allowing the freedom of the VPN. I fear they will mandate that VPNs will have to know origin or the vpn servers get blocked.

Maybe, something like the VPN having an option to allow origin that can be passed to services like X and X can choose to show it? Unfortunately, that opens up blocking all X traffic to communist dictatorships like what happened in Brazil and France.

Basically why I left Twitter. The free speech aspect is nice, but it’s clear that all sides of politics are paying random 3rd world sock puppet accounts to post on their behalf. You can tell because on the brief occasions where Russia, India, Pakistan, or Israel lost internet access nationwide Twitter was noticeably better during their outages

they can show an icon that detects VPNs and show that too so you know the country flag isn’t verified

I do see absurd takes about the US from people then see they are Canadian.

They really don’t like us. Pure jealousy.

Look at the out-of-nowhere influx of ultra-prog accounts on this very board in the last few months, all with the exact same talking points and the exact same mannerisms.

Totally not a bot farm trying to (and succeeding) tear the established conservative majority apart and turning them against each other.

I just want to say I appreciate and even respect all the real posters on "the other side" on this board, the ones I may not agree with on many things but they at least remain consistent (except for Warrior Cunt. frick that guy). But we've all seen the ones that come in out of nowhere and then never respond when you destroy their logic in rebuttal.
