IMO. This chaotic era is perfect for a coach like kiffen and program with the history of ole miss to vastly over perform. He can stay there 20 years and sneak in a few playoff appearances, make $10M+ a year and be a hero or he could go to Florida or lsu, not win shite in 3 years and get canned. Seems like a no brainer to me.

I agree with you. Plus he doesn't have to deal with the incredibly stupid politics of this state

Agree, he would be smart to remain at Ole Miss.

Some people are hungry for more, Kiffin will win a championship, it just won't be at OM

I think if he’s there for 20 years, he can catch lightning in a bottle one year and win one. Truly do.

For f*ck sakes it’s K-I-F-F-I-N. It’s really not that difficult.

A lot of posters here think it's 2005 or something. The game has changed. Kiffin would be stupid to leave Ole Miss. He will make a lot of money, have everything he needs, and compete for the playoffs annually, with virtually no pressure.

5 years ago, Ole Miss to LSU was a no brainer career move.

Now that this is glorified professional football, it’s not nearly the step up it was.

He's already said something to the effect of ole miss is not where his story ends, there's more chapters, etc. I don't know if he's coming to LSU, but I feel certain he is leaving OM.

Or he could take lsu to the playoffs more than ole miss and actually win championships

I said a month ago that I thought Lane Kiffin would stay at OMiss. I still think that.

State governments from Oklahoma to Texas to Alabama to Fla and SCarolina are all pretty lame and stuck on backward ideas in education.

If he is driven to win it all he needs to make the move to florida or lsu

Better chance of winning the title. Pressure is higher but resources too.

He may win it at ole miss but clearly has a better shot at a major program like lsu or Florida.

Money he is set no matter what but I suspect Florida/lsu have more for that too.

LSU is a national brand and it makes recruiting out of state much easier.
Louisiana recruiting base is one of the best in the country
LSU makes more funds available for transfer portal and NIL
Better facilities
And most of all...Bigger stage and gets more media attention and if there's one thing Kiffin loves is attention. It's his dream job.

He might not want to live in little old Oxford for the next 20 years

Ole Miss won’t win a championship with Lane or any other coach. Lane knows that and has to accept that if he stays.

What in the man’s history suggests he is capable of staying anywhere for 20 years?
