Driving home tonight and I see Christmas lights and decorations all over the neighborhoods through town. Saw one Thanksgiving turkey decoration.

I don't think about Christmas until after Thanksgiving. Its probably my favorite holiday.

I guess I'm in the minority now.

It's one of the worst parts about social media culture. It's insane to me how Thanksgiving is basically a dead holiday and Christmas has grown to such an insanely absurd season.

Both holidays, like all of the others are just corporate money grabs.

Thanksgiving isn't a holiday you decorate for, so people get a jump start on their Christmas stuff.

Plus the stores had Xmas stuff out in October and are practically on last legs for decorations currently.

Feels like folks are grabbing supplies and just putting it all right up

Why doesn't Big Turkey seem to put in the same level of effort as Big Red and Big Baby Jesus?

Likewise, one of my daughter’s birthday is November 22nd and the other is on the 4th of July.

My teenager said this same thing to me today, “no one celebrates Thanksgiving anymore “.

Ours is different because my mom passed in the last few years and her house was where we always gathered up.
