Piped in music to cover STTDB

Anyone else notice when it was obvious the students were about to chant STTDB while the band was playing LSU would start blasting piped in music to muffle it?
First time I've seen them do that.
LSU should really do what Alabama does with dixieland delight, just play the real neck once a game. That would stop it from being chanted anytime the band plays any song worth a flip.

Play Neck during TV timeouts. Its going to get sung, and to be honest, Im glad the student section stuck around until the end of the game.

Yes, they drowned the band anytime they played anything because the students would chant. Just let them sing neck, they might sing it less if you aren’t suppressing it every time they try.

The band doesn’t even play Neck anymore. It’s when they play Right Above It and they completely drowned out the stadium today with the piped in music

The stadium atmosphere is so bad. I want to hear the band playing and not piped in “whoomp there it is” before a huge play.

The student section does the STTDB chant to a bunch of songs besides Neck now.
They just need to let the band play Neck once per game during a TV timeout. Let the students have their fun and then its a lot less likely they’ll just try to add the chant into random songs all game long.

Funny thing, they seem to have no problem playing Set It Off in the stadium with the students singing the unedited lyrics. Strange.

Correct, the band is aware when TV commercial breaks occur. Play it then.
