If Dems take Congress in 2026, I believe Trump will resign (hear me out)

1) he's already made history being only the second person to win the presidency in non-consecutive terms

2) he knows all he will face is bullshite impeachment garbage and investigations for 2 years

3) would give Vance 2 years of incumbancy before the 2028 election

4) he would make history as one of only 2 to resign

That would very much give the perception that he’s not strong enough to stand up to the Dems at this stage of his life

This is a dumb take. There’s just no evidence or indication that Donald Trump would ever do this

I’m not even sure DJT will back down from death, much less the Dems and their overwhelmingly dead voting base.

I disagree. Don't think it happens.

But, it could be a smart move on his part.

If the DEMs win in 2026, it will likely mean the economy is still shitty, which will impact this greatly:

That is actually a good thought, too. Hadn't crossed my mind.

Nah, he’ll need that time to go on his pardon bonanza.

In that scenario the congressional investigations will be in full swing. They’re going to put the full court press on all the pay for play, pardons, insider trading, etc.

He will still have a pen and a phone. He might spend a lot of time signing executive orders.

2 of your 4 points are him being No. 2 in something. That's not historical.

I don't think Trump ego will let him resign. If he did so, it would really help the GOP but Trump has been death to the GOP outside of the elections where he is on the ballot. He'll end up being impeached and then after he is out he'll face some charges for something and die in prison.

This will piss off enough folks to fall into line and vote in a GOPer in 2032 who will pardon him if he is still alive.

You might not have noticed this but Mr. Trump has a pretty big ego and seems to relish a fight.

If voters are seriously stupid enough to give power back to the insane Socialist Dems anytime within at least the next two generations (minimum) then this country sadly deserves everything that will come its way.

And that won’t be anything good, guaranteed.
