Hilarious to watch you argue about whether a Christian should be compassionate. Please by all means carry on.

Christians sure like to blame everyone but themselves over our immigration problems.

2 Thessalonians 3:10

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

The US Government is not "a Christian".... and, in fact, has made sure to separate from the Christian religion for decades.

I enjoy entertaining simple minds.

Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

Go find some illegal immigrants, and you feed, house and care for them.

I don't give a fig about what the Catholic Catechism says, but weren't the all the liberal sayings by Jesus said with a caveat that kind of exempts modern day America from following?

Example: "Turn the other cheek" and "forgive 70 times 70" were said in relation to a specific set of circumstances that aren't applicable to modern day Christians in America.

Churches need to start paying taxes so they will feel the burden that many Americans feel from footing the bill.

Oh, we don’t really want to quote scripture for all our beliefs, do we? You will regret such a choice.

Who should politicians be more “compassionate” to? Those that elected them and the politicians have the moral obligation to serve and protect or aliens who enter the country illegally?

Is it “compassionate” to allow unfettered immigration and the human trafficking that went along with it?

It's not about convenience, but truth.

Christians are called on to believe and behave in certain ways. Government is not A Christian nor is Government Christian, it is remarkably secular.

Your understanding of "compassionate " must be flawed. Seems I've read something about " give Ceasars what is Ceasars ", and Paul said "let him will not work, also not eat".

Immigrants should follow our laws and work. Nobody should be allowed in our nation if they don't speak English. Regardless of their "status".

If the Catholic Church wants to do more, they should allow all Immigrants into Vatican City. It's its own country.
Let the Catholic Church put their money where their mouth is.

We know Biden was asleep his entire presidency, was Matt Walsh sleeping too? The conference of bishops had an entire debate over whether or not Biden could be denied Eucharist for supporting abortion. They fell short of denial of Eucharist but routinely criticized his stance. Pope Francis called it an "incoherence" for Biden to be Catholic and hold that position on abortion.

The statement that everyone's melting about says exactly that:

quote:

Catholic teaching exhorts nations to recognize the fundamental dignity of all persons, including immigrants. We bishops advocate for a meaningful reform of our nation’s immigration laws and procedures. Human dignity and national security are not in conflict. Both are possible if people of good will work together.

We recognize that nations have a responsibility to regulate their borders and establish a just and orderly immigration system for the sake of the common good. Without such processes, immigrants face the risk of trafficking and other forms of exploitation. Safe and legal pathways serve as an antidote to such risks

Everyone's melting but nowhere in their statement does it say it's ok to border hop. In fact they agree with Trump's stance of "they can come back, but they have to do it legally." Respecting human dignity and deporting illegals are not mutually exclusive.
