Curious about getting one of these. Would probably go with the cheaper version that you don’t need to subscribe to the app monthly, but was wondering if anyone had suggestions. Would love to track my sleep cycle and I can’t sleep with my Apple Watch. Some are as low as $30 and reviews seem fine, but would love first hand experiences.

I just don’t see how there’s any value in something that can’t be worn at all times and I don’t think you can do that with an oura or alternative

Check out some of the whoop knockoffs. I use an amazfit strap and it’s pretty solid

How come? I wear mine to bed and it does pretty good.

I'm kind of intrigued by oura... turned off by subscription and initial cost as I already do the apple watch.

Only because I find it uncomfortable. I’m sure it would do a great job, but I just don’t like to have it on to sleep.

There are different band styles... I don't know which you have, and I've only tried one, but mine is soft, sturdy fabric that is infinitely adjustable. I'll link a pic of the band style circled both my husband and I use. He never wore a watch before getting this but also has no problem sleeping with this band.

The Whoop with the bicep band is easy to sleep with on. I often forget it’s there.

I have the RingConn ring and like it. No subscription and all kinds of data.

I bought the Oura 4 from Costco about a month ago. It's not cheap. I also bought it for tracking my sleep cycle because I don't want to wear my Apple Watch (which I charge at night). It does fine. At some point I will research how they measure what they do, but it's impressive. The battery life is pretty good, but they recommend you keep it charged and don't drain the battery all the way down. I've been away from home and not charged it for a week, but it was getting low.

Seconded. I was skeptical on the oura till I got it. Now I’m trying to figure out how to get rid of my Apple Watch.

I use an Oura(3rd generation). I’ve been using it to correct chronic insomnia. It’s been extremely helpful with sleep data, helping me to find out things that help and hinder sleep, helping to nail down good routines. I don’t see that it’s very helpful for much else besides sleep data. Battery life is great, like 5-7 days. You can wear it all day, in the water, exercising, etc. I did a one month trial with a Whoop, but I like the Oura, better. I also have an Apple watch but it’s pretty poor for accurate sleep tracking. My only complaint about the ring is that it’s generally useless as a fitness tracker and the finish scratches easily.

You can absolutely wear it at all times.

I don’t have one admittedly, but I don’t see how you can wear a big arse metal ring and do any sort of functional fitness

Is it any bigger than a wedding ring?

Barely taken mine off or noticed it for nearly 20 years….

Do y’all take yours off to workout?
