Nah...no way...not Eric

Would be really funny if the guy referring Swallwell, James, etc gets referred himself for improperly obtaining mortgage records.

This is a good question. Is there anything legally that precludes him from obtaining them?
As much as I loathe Swalwell, it's hard to believe that dozens of Congresscritters of both parties haven't done the same thing.

WSJ: Fannie Mae Watchdogs Probed How Pulte Obtained Mortgage Records of Key Democrats
Looks like they tried to stop the watchdog’s report by firing them but apparently that did not work.

Thanks, Decatur. Doesn't seem like a bright line, does it?
Weren't there IRS agents who were prosecuted for only examining conservatives?

If he's declaring the DC area as his primary residence would that not be a disqualified for being a Republican from the San Francisco, CA area?
Seems like a local issue back in CA more than a mortgage fraud issue.
Did he take out a FNMA loan or a portfolio loan?

@Pulte isn't holding back!
There is no reason to "lawfare" cretins who've done legitimately illegal things.
A couple declaring two primary residences 2500mi apart is not definitively a breach of law. Especially true if the spouse/kids stay in CA, while the husband works in DC.
For example, Letitia James situation is a completely different story

According to Grok he can actually call DC his primary residence while getting a loan since he lives there the majority of the time. There has to be more to this for them to bringing referrals.

This is the It's-Not-Lawfare I voted for.

The Department of Justice is probing the conduct of at least two top Trump administration officials for allegedly interfering with and potentially jeopardizing the ongoing criminal investigations of the president's political adversaries, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.
Sources said the DOJ and FBI are scrutinizing whether U.S. Pardon Attorney Ed Martin and Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte enlisted individuals outside the Department of Justice to probe allegations of mortgage fraud amid ongoing investigations of Sen. Adam Schiff and New York Attorney General Letitia James.
At least one witness in the Schiff investigation has received a grand jury subpoena to hand over any correspondence with Martin's associates as well as with Pulte himself, sources told ABC News.
In what would be an extraordinary breach of DOJ protocol, Martin is also believed to have shared sensitive grand jury information about the James case with at least one unauthorized individual as well as worked with another person from outside the federal government to examine potential evidence in the Schiff and James probes, sources familiar with the matter
Senior Trump administration officials have expressed concerns that the potential misconduct may have compromised the investigations and jeopardized the viability of the cases if they proceed to trial.

quote:People getting referred for Criminal Mortgage Fraud & Tax Fraud is not "funny." It was not "funny" when idiots in NYC tried to screw Trump with such things. It's not funny now. If the referral is BS, Pulte needs to be put on notice. If he's guilty of Criminal Mortgage Fraud & Tax Fraud, he needs to be brought to court, convicted, and punished.
Would be really funny

No where near as funny as cheering the litigation of an ex president, while saying “nobody is above the law”, only to be found actually committing what you accused the ex president of doing.
