What a crock of BS.

Around 47,000 frontline @TSA officers continued to do an excellent job working throughout the shutdown despite the Democrats holding up their paychecks.

Today, @Sec_Noem awarded $10,000 bonuses to the dedicated men and women of TSA who showed up every day to serve and protect the American people.

I know air traffic controllers get 0% loans during a shutdown. Can TSA do the same?

I have a feeling you’re a TSA worker that didn’t show up. Sour grapes?

10k sounds excessive, but I support paying a bonus to the people that came to work vs the ones that decided to stay home.

Airports and Airlines should have to pay for their own security.

This is government taking over the role of private business.

I support firing them all and ending the TSA since it shouldn't exist in the first place.

I'm all for it! Good and dedicated behavior is often rewarded with money. I hope your company or work place did that for you.

This would be better if it were funded by not giving anyone who didn't come to work back pay.

Somehow I doubt that will be the case.

If we can give SNAP benefits to all kind of misfits and losers for doing nothing but polluting the air and water, why not reward work and hold it up as an example of work ethic?!?!

I say 'well done!'

10k is more than many earned during the shutdown.

Yeah and I used to get big grand bonuses. Quit bitching about every little thing. Because I know you aren't a miserable person.

For pointing out that 10k per person is ridiculous for a month long shutdown?

Two weeks ago you people were cheering federal layoffs....lol

Yes. For that. It is a reward. And for those who "walked off the line" of for the controllers who stayed home it will sting. It's up to the Transportation Secretary to award bonuses to the air traffic controllers
