70% of SNAP recipients are full time workers
According to data from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) approximately 70% of adult SNAP recipients who are employed (i.e., wage-earning adults) work full-time, defined as at least 35 hours per week. This figure is based on national averages from 2015–2021 and holds for recent years, including 2021 Census data.
Would be nice to see some updated data.

I am happy for them. Been flying recently and they were fully staffed with zero issues

They should do better than work fast food unless they are in management...

Imagine having missed one day of work.

Can't imagine it has changed that drastically...
These bonuses are just more stunts by the administration

I used to get perfect attendance in school so I didn't have to take semester exams. You couldn't be tardy either.

10k sounds excessive, but I support paying a bonus to the people that came to work vs the ones that decided to stay home.
I understand the sentiment.
However, I recommend another option.
The issue is all workers who didn't work still for paid.
So I recommend something else. Those that don't show up during a shut down just don't get paid. Everyone who continues to work during the shut down will get paid their salary plus a 5 percent bonus for working without pay off the shite down played more than 2.5 weeks.
Since they likely get paid every two weeks anyway, they won't even notice a disruption to their pay if it lasts less than two weeks. So their salary will be paid with a 5 percent bump after the first 2.5 weeks.
Again those that choose to not work just don't get paid. You won't lose your job.
But honestly I think I would day they still have to work for the first yep weeks until they lose a paycheck. When they first lose a paycheck that's when the countdown starts.

Why only TSA workers? A lot of feds worked during the shutdown. More performative bs by this admin.

Airports and Airlines should have to pay for their own security.
This is government taking over the role of private business.
This may be a stupid question but don't taxpayers pay for the airports so we'd be paying them anyway?

Today, @Sec_Noem awarded $10,000 bonuses to the dedicated men and women of TSA who showed up every day to serve and protect the American people.
GOOD!
Now they need to fire every piece of shite that didn't show up. Abandoned their job.

I'm not sure how it all works, but I don't think they are federally owned so it would only be the state taxpayers. I'd guess what would really happen is ticket prices would go up since it wasn't being subsidized.

You don’t think the ratio of people they tell us are working full time (35 hours ha) and receiving benefits from 2015-16 has drastically changed over the past ten years? Is this where your resting your horse?

I know an ATC employee who called in sick with several other for the latter part of the shite down. Why the frick should he get something when others showed up without pay.?

Im frankly ok with this.
That’s not a good thing.
This should piss people off for the blatant vote buying effort that it is.
We have to stop doing this.

Why do you think it would have drastically changed? The stats the other dude posted went out to 2021 by the way.
What do you think has changed since 2021 to where the numbers would be drastically changed?

Good they deserve it. Some people are weak, some are not. Those who stayed the course should get rewarded.
We waste money on plenty of other stupid stuff so why are yall complaining about it?
