Any particular recollections of his time with your programs?

I don't think he's on any of the SEC boards right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if he interviewed for us (Auburn).

I’m a southern Miss alum. He’s done an amazing job this year, I really do think VT is making a mistake if they don’t look at him.

I wouldn’t be mad at all if LSU hired him, he’s Saban like in his focus on process.

All I know is he was a very good RB coach that has done well as a HC. Saban is/was very high on him and all but said he would be successful as a HC

He's a damn good coach and a great recruiter. Saban thought very highly of him while he was on staff. Said he was future head coach numerous times which is rare for an assistant that wasn't a coordinator during his time

I've been pounding the table for Huff to LSU in every coaching convo I've had since Kelly was fired. I know it won't happen but he's the best coach available imo. I've been around the southern program a good bit since he was hired, had the pleasure of meeting him numerous times since hired, and my son camped there over the summer. That coaching staff was unreal during the camp. He practices the Saban player architype philosophy as they told my son unless he reaches atleast 6'2 he won't be playing linebacker there . As an alum I appreciated the honesty. If you listen to multiple interviews since Huff was hired, they are doing exactly what he said they were going to do and the exact fashion he expressed. The guys a great coach, and the S&C coach is an absolute maniac.

Don't forget about
Fisher
Muschamp
Dooley
Butch Jones
Billy Napier
Bobby Williams
Mark Dantonio
Major Applewhite
Bill O Brian

Seems only fair to include the avg and sub par coaches with your list of elite coaches

You mentioned Butch Jones twice and he's not really from the Saban coaching tree. He's more from the Brian Kelly tree.

Hes a pretty damn good Coach. Not overworking that guy. Again, idk if he makes a successful P4 HC but hes been a very good Coach everywhere he has been. Was a little upset he left Marshall.

He will be at a Power 4 program soon.

I bet Ole Miss hires him if Kiffin leaves.

Sorry he was listed when I Googled Saban Coaching tree. Even if you remove Jones from the list the point still stands that when talking about the tree you have to take the good with the bad.

Hell half of the good coaches that were listed were successful head coaches before coaching under Saban so is it really fair to count them?

Has been a great coach for USM and while not the big splash hire, I would take him over most of the other smaller school coaches including Dilly at ASU.
