who served during wartime.

ME!

Apparently, anyone who was in the military at any point, and not dishonorably discharged, is a veteran.

What a crock of shite!

Did your school district not have dictionaries when you were growing up? This makes you stupid, not other people.

There’s a difference between a veteran and a veteran of a foreign war.

You're making it too hard. Just look for that 100% DAV tag.

We found one that didn't have the balls to join or couldn't pass the ASVAB.

Me. I worked with a Veteran for 20 + years, a Marine that served in Desert Storm. Good man. He retired a few years ago but we still speak now and then. I also have a first cousin that served in the Army in Iraq.

Veterans Day is for people who served in our military.

Memorial Day is for those who died serving.

The longer you wait to delete your OP, the more people will see it and discover you’re an imbecile. You should go ahead and delete it now.

Anyone who served in any branch of the military and are no longer in that branch are veterans.

It matters not if they were front line Marines storming islands in the Pacific during WWII to take them back from the Japs or they were Stateside in the Coast Guard patrolling the Gulf of Mexico for their entire stint------they are both considered veterans when they got out.
