Will JD Vance start to distance himself away from Trump when it’s time to run himself?

If Trump policies continue to spiral, and MAGA is lost.

He probably should at this point
Posted on 11/12/25 at 9:46 am to AMac
Only a panican would do that

That would be dumb.
Maybe in tone, but if he goes against policy, he's done.

Vance was a shoe in for 2028 before Trump went global neocon with handouts to the poor.

JD Vance is going down with the Trump ship

I know made up “clever “ terms are popular in here, but I prefer realist.

Most with a political future are going to after the mid-terms.
JD’s going to also have to accomplish something.

If he's smart, he will embrace it

I don’t want H1B Vance.

He’ll have to to have a shot in 2028.
I bet he takes his name out of the hat and tries again in 2032 once Trump is well behind everyone.

How does anyone know at this point who viable candidate might be by 2027?
JD Vance was chosen out of no where to be VP (thanks only to his "mentor", the sweaty, ghey transhumanist odd-ball AI-Data harvesting bro Peter Thiel.)
EDIT: Vance is also extremely supportive of anti-America First H1B -- as is the Emperor.
NOT winning positions now or by 2028.

What policy? Israel, MIC, and H1B First? I voted for Americans First

Like George 'Kinder Gentler' Bush?

Anybody who is running in 2028 will have to do their own thing at some point. JD can't resign to run so he needs to stay in the good graces. If anyone thinks the next man/woman up will carry on this MAGA thing exactly as Trump envisions it, well, they are crazy.
They better figure out a way to hold on to the senate and house in 2026.
