If Shough finishes well, do you keep same 3 QBs next year?

I honestly would. I think Rattler improved from last year in some areas. I don’t mind Haenar at number 3. He’s safe with the ball, accurate on short passes, and he’s number 3 so who cares.

I would try to trade Rattler and give him another opportunity somewhere. Then sign a Vet

Rattler is an adequate backup.

Haener is invisible and easily replaceable.

Wonder if anyone would be willing to make a trade for him. Good point

I know, but he’s cheap.

I’d bring in a vet to compete with Rattler for QB2.

Haha no one is giving us draft picks for a short, shitty qb that is 1-13. Even max hall has as many wins and took him a lot less games to get there.

Either roll with what we have or draft a QB in the mid-rounds to groom behind Shough and Rattler. Rattler still has a couple years on contract, so take advantage of not having to overpay a veteran #1 or #2 QB.

If Shough is the guy, eventually we can work out a trade of Rattler or pickup a decent compensatory pick by losing him in FA.

I would get someone that can win a game.

this 100% He’s 1-13 as a stater if something happened to Shough next year and we had a chance of making playoffs, you’re dead with him as your quarterback. 1-13 is showing you who his , how come some fans can’t see that?

We are nowhere near the point where the team is talented enough to carry a backup QB for a few games

You wanna pay 3-4x what Rattler makes to shelf a backup QB?

Well, I think if your roster has improved enough that you are threatening for a playoff spot……Spencer would probably be fine for a spot start or two in the event of an injury.

You just can’t expect Spencer to elevate the offense. Shough showed us that he has the ability to elevate an offense……whether he can do that on a consistent basis remains to be seen

This.

We obviously felt we didn't need the vet now, and we're not gonna have the talent to carry a qb to the playoffs so I leave it alone and try to build both of their values up.

I bring in a vet, like a Kirk Cousins, to help mentor Shough as a 2. Make Rattler 3. Bye to Haenar.

1-13 is a team stat. The team let him down multiple times. He did enough to win at times. Could he have played better? Yes. But don't pin that 1-13 like if Brees was back there we'd have a winning record. If you watched the games you'd know a rookie can't get successful surrounded by dogshit, playing against playoff teams. That's a fact.

Damn the rattler diehards just can't admit he's a terrible qb even though facts say so

Cousins is going to demand like 10/per year as a backup.

Better off keeping Taysom.
One has to go.

I wouldn't mind it, but in reality I think you try to trade Rattler, or approach him about if he desires to move on to somewhere he can compete.

I don't think rattler would grow much more in this system if all the reps were going to Shough. I'd look at bringing on a veteran to back up Shough like a Carson Wentz, Teddy Bridgewater, Gardner Minshew all can be had for very little contract wise and all understand their NFL role at this point.

Haener, I have no interest in. He can be replaced through the late round draft or UDFAs to supply a camp arm. If you're going to a #3 QB to start for you'd be looking at one of these vets on the street anyway before Haener. I'd actually like to get a better look at Hunter Dekker before committing anything more to Heaner.
