What you are missing here is the defense for him is the people insulting and attacking him personally. There are numerous people on here doing so. The benching was deserved but the hate and comments about him are not. Calling him lazy when you have no proof is an accusation. And again, he is not lazy Blake Ruffino despite his intentions has actually led the charge on this narrative which has spewed a lot of hate toward Nuss. Hes not lazy he went about his preparation different then others and some people have a problem with that. But again, its the attacks and insults where people are defending him. He did rightfully get benched but its the hate that comes with it that has some people wanting to defend him. Not hard to understand that.

I don’t believe the kid is lazy. He’s probably worked his arse odd over the years…..I just don’t think he’s very good without an All American protecting his blindside.

He’s no better now than he was as a freshman. Worse, probably.

He seems to be a good Christian person, and I think he genuinely cares about LSU.

He could've left at any point during his career to get immediate playing time, but chose to stick it out and I think that says a lot about his character.

If you're going to sewer him, it's over his play at QB. He stat padded a lot last year against bad teams, and this expectation was created of him in the offseason that was unattainable.

I think he tried his hardest to meet those expectations, and it just didn't work out unfortunately. He has clearly been pressing and trying to do way too much and it's got to his head. He's overthinking and it's affecting his play. The "yips" for lack of a better word. I think it's sad how it turned out, and I wish him the best.

Blame the O line all day long. However, when the QB takes the snap, runs backwards, turns and “spins” (if you call it that… I call it run in frickin circle) and while executing said move is looking the entire opposite direction of the end zone and then gets splattered 25 yards behind the line of scrimmage, that is NOT the O line’s fault. That’s a millionaire kid scared of getting hit.

Why I say this? I can relate: I was hit, flipped, and gored by 2500 lb bull once. Only thing that broke my fall was comfortable pipe fencing and cow shite. For years I was a little skittish around bulls and only shear will and determination overcame that. This kid has that look of fear on his face and he’s running for his life.)

LMFAO I workout everyday I am in very good shape but please continue. Again, the defense people have for him are the attacks and insults. You know literally zero about Nuss and his "work ethic" so again, did he deserve to be benched? yes. Just leave it at that.
