The hate on Nussmeir speaks more to the person spewing the hate.

Off the top, I’ll say i think it’s time to start Van Buren. With our lack of a running game and lack of two tackles Van Buren gives us the best chance to beat Ark. That said, He is no guarantee either.

My point, Nussmeir loves LSU. I respect LSU players who love the program and gave their best effort. I only wish I could have played in a Tiger uniform.

Nussmeir is not a disciple problem. Sadly he won’t be remembered for the good he did. Hating on Nussmeir makes no sense to me. Wanting a change does, but hating the kid. Geez.

I think many question whether this is actually the case, and I can't say I blame them.

I think Nussmeir's work ethic was destroyed by too much money too quickly.

I don't "hate" him.

He loved LSU so much he didn't take this offseason seriously. Didn't put in the work when he literally got a front row seat for JD5

Good luck getting us to feel bad for a guy that we are paying multi millions of dollars

He packed it in, gave minimal effort in the offseason, and had a historic regression as a college QB. I don’t hate him, but he sucks.

No one hates Nuss, they are rightfully criticizing the performance of a 5th year senior. At least the sane Tigah fans, who aren’t doing personal attacks.

Nah. I like Nuss… as a person. But I, a huge Stan for Nuss all year, I have given up on him. He is as the kids say… booty

Some of the things I've read posted about Nuss these last few weeks have been disgusting. I've said some things about his play the last few weeks and I try to limit it to that. Some people on here are making it personal and taking it to a whole nother level. It's weird, IMO.

We finally got a guy who bleeds purple and gold, never threatened to transfer if he didn't get playing time, sat and waited his turn, etc etc and yet all many of us have done is make him into public enemy #1. It's sad.

These people will say things like he's making money and it's fair game and I can get on board with that to an extent, but the level some people take it to here is way beyond anything normal and comes across as miserable people trying to make themselves feel better by putting down on Nuss.

They hate him as a QB not as a person.

What proof do you have of this? Not trying to be a smartass, just wondering.

Why is this post even needed? Why are you so butthurt that people are calling out a player for poor performance with NO negligible improvement?

Oh shut up. You put on any uniform, you open yourself up to criticism based on how you play. Especially when you’re making $4M to do so. I’m sure he really loved LSU when his agent was reviewing how much money he’d make if he stayed vs if he left and what option was best.

Nuss has somehow lamented himself as some martyr who sacrificed all for LSU.

I applaud the kid for his efforts, but he’s just not the guy. Never really has been unless it was beating up on teams he was supposed to beat up.

He’s been a woefully average player his entire tenure.

He just couldn’t become what everyone wanted to anoint him as.

I think most people would bleed purple and gold if they were getting 3 plus million
