municipalities across the country struggle with the invasion of armed immigration official

While municipalities across the country struggle to cope with the invasion of armed immigration agents, who disregard due process to detain migrants, citizens and even lawful workers, one small Illinois city — where I happen to live— has developed what Rachel Maddow calls the “Evanston Handbook” for community responsiveness.
quote:
More recently, Evanstonians have drawn national attention for vigorously, but peacefully, confronting the militarized border patrol troopers who have been pulling people out of parking lots and off of streets.
Throughout the Chicago area, President Donald Trump’s “Midway Blitz” has been using helicopters and unmarked SUVs to detain migrants and U.S. citizens alike, including children, often for the seeming offense of “gardening while brown.”
quote:
In Evanston, “Kavanaugh stops” have been going on for weeks. In the words of Mayor Daniel Biss, federal agents have been “driving around town looking for people whose skin is brown.” Then, “they pick them up, they grab them, they abduct them, they’re gone.”
In response, as Maddow put it, “incredibly determined and resourceful, brave, no-nonsense Americans” are using whistles, phone trees and internet messages to alert each other to the presence of “armed, masked agents” in their neighborhoods.
quote:
Following the “Evanston handbook,” a crowd quickly gathered in response to a community alert. As shown in videos, the crowd kept its distance from the body-armored officers, blowing whistles and shouting at them to release their prisoners, while one protester was grabbed and arrested.
quote:
No handbook will ever provide the key to keeping gun-waving federal agents out of a community, no matter how many rallies it facilitates. But it can marshal residents to spread the alarm and document the brutality.
Informed of DHS presence, children can stay inside their schools; street vendors, day laborers and landscapers can stay home, enduring the loss of needed income.

Make them "fugitives from the law". Anyone that interferes or harbors them, gets to spend some time.

As explained by one Evanstonian, DHS is “just getting started. They’re going to get more violent. But we’re just getting started too, and we’re not giving up.”

Sounds like a "tuff" guy.

That’s called obstruction. It’s a fricking felony. You do that in any other situation involving any other police force, and your fricking arse goes to jail. As it should here.

Any other police force requires warrants to pick people up.
It sure is fascinating watching Republicans cheer for the authoritarian police state, though.
Carry on.

These people call Federal law enforcement officials enforcing Federal Law, "armed invaders".
Yet they refuse to even acknowledge that these Federal Law enforcement officers are protecting them from the actual invaders?
Honk
fricking
Honk.

The amount of threads on Nextdoor has increased by 100 fold, with retards calling for people to blow whistles at ICE agents. WTF is wrong with people? Why don't they want laws to be enforced? I don't get it. There is a serious disconnect when it comes to logic and reason in the mind of a progressive.

Rich white liberals are just mad that their illegal, below market, labor for housekeeping, gardening, and home repair is drying up.

You might want to notify the courts that the thousands of cops that make hundreds of thousands of warrantLESS arrests..everyday.. that they are wrong and should stop immediately

Because arresting someone caught in an unlawful act is just like arresting someone who's just working or walking down the street. And even then, they get to go before a judge at their arraignment.
It wouldn't be so hypocritical if you just came out and said you supported authoritarian government.
Yeah, fascism only comes from the left.

What part of "enforcing Federal immigration law" don't these people understand?

The Biden Kamala mess was large and requires exactly what we are doing to reverse it. I am dumbfounded illegals are still here knowing the outcome

Rationalizing a police state.
Where have I seen that before?
Trump is making Hillary Clinton look like a genius.

If they're here illegally, they're being arrested for that.

Packing plant raids back in the day would cause Harry arse a coronary.

These people aren’t being arrested. They’re being detained for removal from this country because they’re here illegally.
