Joe Sloan was a turrible OC but the operation of the offense was not as good

with him not there. We might have beat Bama by a field goal if he was not fired. Brian Kelly was obviously the biggest problem.

We still couldn't put the ball in the end zone once we got in the redzone, but it was nice to see some first downs and not the majority of series end in 3 and outs.

Said this earlier and got roasted by the resident idiots….logic and observations aren’t allowed here, only emotional responses

Agreed. Was also thinking if we still had Matt House we prolly shut Bama out too.

Gotta stop getting rid of these elite coaches and shooting ourselves in the foot.

So they would’ve been only terrible with Sloan instead of horrible like last night? Got it

We had 278 total yards with 60 rushing yards against a&m in Tiger Stadium. Things were similar Saturday night. Still shitty. We scored more points against aTm, but they also scored 49 on us.

I mean kelly is a better coach than frank wilson. thats not a question. the question is will we hire someone that has the drive that kelly lacked

Ok; not that this should have to stated but you can’t overhaul a whole offensive playbook in two weeks. Can you make slight adjustments in rhythm and certain sets; sure; but we don’t have the talent or staff to make major changes. Keeping Sloan or Kelly’s dumbasses wouldn’t have prevented this. They set this strategy and culture

Who designed the shitty plays we ran last night? Who coached the quarterbacks? Oh, that’s right, it was Sloan. You shouldn’t be calling anyone an idiot. Sloan was just as much of the problem as anyone else.

Job of head coach is to motivate his team. What’s that got to do with Sloan? Offense had its lowest point total of the year

Prevented what. The offense was worse under Atkins. The defense was much better that was the difference. (Staff intacted)

There's only so much improvement you can make with the same players and same scheme. You can make tweeks here and there but you need an off season to change the philosophy of the offense with a new OC.

Or we might be undefeated if Kelly had started calling the plays himself during the Ole Miss game when it was beyond clear Sloan couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag.

I didn’t say it prevented anything. I actually never used the word ‘prevented’. I’m saying this whole staff and team suck. We can’t fix a system install, or culture, in two weeks.

I don’t understand how we don’t have more short crossing routes or pick plays (legal) or motion that helps us identify man coverage and run the routes that are good against man. Chip with the rb. Idk. Just something seems majorly off with the offense. This is why I want kiffin the most.
