If we’re going with unproven P4 coaches, give me a coordinator who’s had experience scheming against the SEC over some G5 HC. Half the time we don’t even know if they’re the ones calling the plays (i.e. Norvell, Napier)

I’m coming around on him after some more research but I tend to agree that we would have to miss on several to get to him

The infatuation overall Sumrall reminds me so much of the Napier fans. Especially how defensive some get over him.

Billy Napiers personality is nothing like Sumrall who is smart energetic and driven. Napier was a dullard.Being compared to sling blade didn’t help Billy at all.Sumrall has been a HC 4 years with a good record.If he gets the AU job he will come back to haunt LSU.Mark my words.

That’s a completely different guy and has no bearing on if another g5 guy can or can’t be successful in the SEC

Yes but LSU is in no position right now to be taking chances on whether or not a G5 coach will succeed in the SEC. They know they have to get this hire right and I don’t see Verge and LSU taking any chances with guys like Sumrall unless they just strikeout on literally all of their top targets and have to get desperate and get him.

I don’t see LSU going this direction unless they strike out on Kiffin, Brohm, Dillingham first.
