Updated NFC South Standings
Buccaneers 6-3
Panthers 5-5
Falcons 3-6
Saints 2-8

Today was a perfect day in the NFC South.

While Saints are on the Bye Week, the Buccaneers have to travel to Buffalo. Then the Bucs are back on the road to Los Angeles Rams the following week. Let's assume that leaves the Bucs at 6-5.

There is a Path to win this Division and we should go for it!

we’ve fallen on rough times

I remember the golden years when Les was winning 10+ games every year at LSU and saints were the winningest team in the NFC in late 2000s-early 2010s.

Let’s just get momentum as a franchise. Players start buying into Moore

Hoping to get a top pick ,that we don't know will pan out in the NFL, is a loser mentality.

If we drop in the draft because our 2nd round quarterback is winning some games ? I'll take that anytime.

Besides not all top 10 QBs taken have panned out. Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Anthony Richardson come to mind

The first goal for every team is to win the division. That goal is still possible, but unlikely. However, they should go for it for the simple reason of allowing our vets to teach our rookies how to be winners.

The honest assessment:
We'll split with Atlanta because we're both equally bad 1-1
Miami has looked good, we'll likely lose (their run game is elite) 0-1
Tampa is the better team (and I'm going to the game) 0-1
Carolina in the dome, good game 1-0
NYJ at home, they're tanking 1-0
tennessee is gonna tank as well, 1-0

That leads us to: 6-11

---you mean, again. Saints 1967--86 not one winning season.

Feels great to win but man it would suck to fall all the way down into that section of boom-or-bust Clemson prospects that are always a crapshoot

The OP has the most "Saints" perspective possible. Why in the world would you put yourself through it?

We need to win a few games (4 or 5) and be competitive in all the other games. We aren't making the playoffs by winning our division this year. Getting the #1 overall pick isn't that much greater than getting the #3 pick.
