Worried we will be stuck with Drink

He would take the job but is fools gold, hasn’t won a big game there and was basically stripped of play calling last year by their AD.

we’re way too early in this process to be getting worried But yeah i wouldn’t even drink give a raise from what he’s currently making to come here if it came to it. I’d rather gamble on one of the unknowns before that

Doubt we'll be able to lure a sitting p4 coach especially one that makes what Drink does. We can't even figure out job titles.

Something most seem to forget is that we're like a month away at minimum from making a hire. If we still looked like this by Thanksgiving, I'd be concerned

Maybe. I already thought there was a good chance that LSU and Florida will flip flop strategies from last go round and they'll get the big fish and we'll go G6. We're not making ourselves more attractive to the big fish as the days go by. But just because it's a g6 guy doesn't mean it can't work.

They couldn't afford to fire Kelly either. That was the constant crap spewed on this board. Now that we have fired him, we can't afford another coach. When we do get another coach, it won't be good enough for some other reason.

It's not about being able to afford him, it's about how much he already makes. 9 mil at Mizzou, where if he had Kelly's exact results everyone would be cool, looks pretty nice vs 11 at LSU with our pressure and dysfunction.

He beat Ohio State.
Drink’s resume is just as good as Kiffin. Yes Kiff will make the playoffs this year, but he struggles with the big games too, and has avoided Bama, Texas, aTm, and UT.
