Acting is like the academic version of interim except I guess it’s interim +
I have seen this all the time…
I guess in the academic world when they are the “acting president” they can actually make legit decisions to further a university rather than waiting on everyone else
So in this sense I guess verge negotiate on LSUs behalf can pick a coach and get him hired without all the hassle

not sure...the timing all sucks...it is not often you have to replace a head football coach and AD at same time.
