Stranger things have happened. Kamala said that the democrats had multiple upcoming stars, but only mentioned Mamdani and Jasmine Crocker.

Even if Obama had been born in Kenya, he would still be a natural-born U.S. citizen through his mother’s American citizenship — the same situation as Ted Cruz.

Arguably governor, particularly of a large state like NY is a higher position than "1 of 100" - although if you serve long enough and become a major leader in the caucus, that can flip a little (Schumer > Hochul, for example).
