the New Orleans saints are, once again, a dumpster fire. I don't think that it can be fixed in a few years, and for that, I really feel sorry for Kellen Moore. He will most likely end up getting fired afterwards, when in fact, the entire front office should have been replaced.

What they did to the roster, going all the way back to the end of Patton's career here, is despicable in its ignorance.

You feel sorry for a guy who gets paid millions to coach Football. Most new coaching hires don’t inherit a playoff team right away. It’s why they were hired and it’s thier job to turn it around.

This is not a Kellen Moore problem and he will not get fired. He inherited a mess and will get through it with time.

Nobody in the league will judge Kellen Moore on this year or probably next year. He walked into an absolute disaster of a roster and to his credit has started making changes.

His resume starts in year 3 of this job.

He already knew we would likely win 1 game. Everyone did including the media. Everyone except for people here. Some of my family members also. It's bizarre.

If Mickey Loomis keeps his job then this team should just be moved to a new owner and state.

Everyone, including Moore, knew there was a strong possibility of a rough season this year and a rebuilding process. He's not going to be fired after this season. Even if he goes 1-16. He likely would not be fired after next season as long as he shows some moderate progress.

While I agree the FO is, at best, inept, they appear to have finally accepted a full rebuild is necessary.

Loomis has been GM since 2002.

In that time we have had 15 seasons of .500 or better.

In that time we have had 2 seasons of less than 7 wins. One of those being the Katrina year.

If he gets credit for the current roster then he also gets credit for the Super Bowl contending seasons.

They kicked the can down the road as long as possible to keep the window open, like all teams do.. what they forgot was to lock down their Jordan Love/Matt Lafleur for when Brees/Payton did finally leave..

I still hold out hope that Loomis moves on to some other benson job and we bring in a younger, analytical, more modern guy to work with him.

We HAD a bunch of those guys... and over the years they were raided and picked up by other teams.

That's what happens when you have a good staff. Eventually the smart young people are all gone and youre left with a bunch of Joe Vitt's and Randy Muellers

Head coaches are Good Coaches.
Good coaches do not become Head coaches.

The dumpster fire began when DA bent the knee to the Falcons coach for running up the score.

Or not, Payton held large sway over personnel when he was here. Mickey was just along for the ride.

Look at Mickey's record before and after Payton. No where near .500.

You have to draft very well.

We've drafted very, very poorly.

I don't think we have the talent evaluators in the building that could reasonably give hope that we would draft better than average and certainly not good enough to build up a roster.

Why, the guy has his chance at his dream and making north of 8 million/year.

I wish I was K. Moore.

Patton's career here

Can we get a hold on our emotions around here?

Shawn Peyton coached the Saints, NOT Patton and the Saints should NEVER have fired Peyton.
