Why promote one of his assistants?

You think the assistant, who’s been mentored by Woodward, Alleva, etc will produce a better result? It’s the same philosophy and process as the previous leader.

I don’t think anyone was not happy with the way he ran things. Dude was a forward thinker who had some home run hires. But unfortunately our governor and BOS member Lee Mallet were butt hurt he didn’t hire Will Wade back so they used BK as an excuse to fire him.

a fair thing to be butt hurt over. That’s men’s basketball and men’s football that he fricked up.

NC State will be in the tourney this year while we’re declining an NIT bid.

Because I've worked for some real pieces of work before and learned what not to do from them.

This was a dumb post.

You don’t know how good of a job he’s going to do. He’s only had the job for a few hours now why are you assuming his outcome already? Give the dude a chance. Unless you’re one of those purple headed him/hers that was at the BOS meeting protesting just to create conflict.

fricked up= hiring the winningest coach at the time. How’s Lincoln doing these days? Hell how are any of the coaches who were candidates doing?

fricked up= the position Will Wade put the basketball program in with his shenanigans. Woodward’s hands were a little tied when it came to finding a coach who would come here given the circumstances, which is clearly something some of you forgot.

Ah yes this argument. You go negotiate with the 2 mega agents and report back to the class.

I mean it’s quite literally his job to do just what you explained and he was arse at it. I mean costing the institution you work for millions of dollars and having a track record of doing just that….bad

I asked a question about the philosophy. I didn’t say he would succeed or not succeed. I’m just stating a fact that he was part of the athletic administration you were not happy with. I don’t understand, if you want a “Change”, why you go with someone that was part of the administration you were not happy with.

It’s like saying, I’m not happy with Brian Kelly, so I’m going to make one of his assistants the H.C. That will make us more successful.

But hey, what do I know. I’m sure most successful leaders have come from unsuccessful leadership.

No I’m just saying that is called being bad at your job no matter where the money is coming from. Baseball and women’s bball don’t profit money football the only thing that matters. You sound very angry about this

Woodward ran an excellent department outside of two mistakes, those mistakes were just the most high profile decisions he made and buried him.

If Ausberry can keep the good but learned to avoid the bad he will be a good AD.

you're acting like Woodward hired Verge as his right-hand man. Verge has been at LSU for 24 years. So, technically he was hired under Skip Bertman's Athletic Department, worked for Joe Alleva, then Woodward.

STFU acting like he's a representative of Woodward.
