My town outside of Raleigh completely turned over from a conservative mayor and town council to hardcore leftists, across the board, by a significant margin.

North Carolina is in a bad way from what I’ve read elsewhere
Amazing considering what Biden did to them after the hurricane

Republicans are now more populist and with populism comes reliance on low-propensity voters.
Historically high turnout favored Dems, but that has been reversed. High turnout is good for Republicans and low turnout is bad.
Low turnout elections (special elections, off-cycle elections, mid terms, etc.) the new Trump voters just don't turn out for.
The turnout in rural Georgia counties for the commissioner elections was non-existent. Some counties had just a few hundred votes. Most people in those counties probably didn't even know there was an election.

All true, but these aren’t really the new Trump voters here. It’s an affluent suburb.
The white liberal women were very energized today. Just from what I saw at the polling station.

Turnout, turnout, turnout. The Dem voters are motivated like never before right now.

There is not much evidence that MAGA will come out when DJT isn’t on the ballot

Are y'all stupid or drinking the mushroom tea?
Maybe y'all don't care enough to go vote?
Are you all generational welfare people?
Or maybe it's just orange man bad.

The cost of the "research triangle" was their souls.

On the bright side the "girl's" teams will dominate. Plus, the tampon supplier in your area will double their sales.

They do prefer elections over erections.

The good news is now that the Dems got their outcome, they’ll probably reopen the government soon

Georgia got fricked because these two public service commissioner seats should have been on the 2024 ballot but a lawsuit apparently pushed them back a year.
We are not in rural Georgia but our local ballot had the two PSC races and a local esplost sales tax extension - not something that drives a huge turnout.

What Town? I'm outside of Raleigh and I'm honestly not sure which one you are talking about. Didn't notice any changes.

Schumer took a big loss with the Mamdani win. AOC will almost certainly run against him and beat him. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him run for the exit. 2026 could be a total bloodbath for the GOP. A lot Marxists on the ballot who will have an energized electorate.

I wonder who they'll blame as more and more homeless and crime start pushing in on their gated communities?
