Why isn’t Kelvin Shepard’s name being mentioned?

As much as I love watching football, admittedly I don’t know much on the technical side. So there might be an obvious answer, but I’m curious why Kelvin Shepherd‘s name isn’t being mentioned. He’s been with the Lions for five years now and has had successthere.

Because he’s been on coaching 4.5 years and only a coordinator for half a year.

First of all, his name has been mentioned. Countless times.

It’s an idiotic notion though. He doesn’t even have a full season as a coordinator under his belt. This is just as silly as thinking Saban is coming back to coach.

He has been. He hasn't even been a DC for a year.

If you’re worried about waiting for Kiffin, you definitely don’t want to wait on an NFL guy whose team could be playing until February.

No head coach experience,if this is one of the top jobs in the country why can’t we get a experienced head coach

He’s not polling very high in the Governor’s sampling at the moment.

He would be close to the coaching version of the Verge hire. The only difference is Frank would fit that bill better.

Georgia, Oregon, Notre Dame, Clemson... Just a few that didn't insist on an experienced head coach. Don't think they regret it.
