RUSSIA MAY SEND NEW MISSILES TO VENEZUELA, SAYS U.S. COULD BE IN FOR “SURPRISES”

Russia could soon deliver its new Oreshnik missile system to Venezuela, according to Alexei Zhuravlyov, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma’s Defense Committee.

Zhuravlyov:

“I see no obstacles to supplying a friendly country with new developments such as the Oreshnik.”

He added that Moscow is ready to provide “the full range” of weapons - from small arms to aviation - to its “friendly partner” in Latin America.

He hinted that deliveries are already underway but kept the details classified, warning that “the Americans may be in for surprises.”

Russian state media has claimed the Oreshnik can hit any target in Europe within an hour and carry up to six independently guided nuclear warheads.

Zhuravlyov also boasted that Venezuela now has one of the most powerful air forces in the region, thanks to Russian Su-30MK2 jets and deliveries of advanced air-defense systems like the S-300VM, Pantsir-S1, and Buk-M2E.

The question is, would they consider doing this had we not been providing arms to Ukraine?

It’s almost like Putin wants to get a tomahawk missile in his bedroom window.

Just another reason that we have no business meddling in Venezuela.

Buy 1 get one free.

The plan was global sales of military equipment would help support the war time economy. The problem? Russian equipment in Ukraine has been a dismal failure. Nobody is buying their export junk.

Don't forget, you have to think back on how many Americans were killed by Russian weapons in Korea & Vietnam.

Well I can't wait for the intellectual consistency and the rhetoric that we have to stop out of fears of WW3, now, like what we saw with Ukraine.

To be fair, did Ukraine invade Russia? If you invade a powerful country then you should expect some of your people will die.

If we can meddle in a country next door to Russia, we can't cry they are supporting an ally who we are trying to depose.

Monroe Doctrine says that we can. The largest and second largest air forces in the world says that we can. 11 aircraft carriers says that we can.

Roosevelt Corrollary would be more accurate.

Bad policy nonetheless. Somehow we haven't learned that these countries wouldn't be cozying up to our enemies if we weren't meddling in their internal affairs all the time.
