I was told by very learned legal scholars on this very board that the charges against Comey were very tenuous and partisan in nature....

Isn’t the charge he lied to Congress about authorizing someone at the FBI to leak/be an anonymous source to the media?

FWIW, I said that the indictment was too narrow to support a superseding indictment of treason or whatever other charges people wish casted (me included).
I think the DOJ'S response to vindictive prosecution AND to dismissal based on Halligan’s not bring properly appointed as EDVA US Attorney was very good. I think these charges make it to trial.
My intitial skepticism about Halligan based on the Comey charges was replaced by confidence based on the James charges.
