The Trump administration announced it will deplete SNAP contingency funds to issue 50% of usual benefits for November's payments to about 22 million households, due to ongoing funding delays from congressional inaction. This follows a federal court order and is corroborated by reports from CNN, NPR, Reuters, and Politico. Full restoration depends on budget resolution.
They are also reminding stores that they can't discount food just for SNAP recipients

Bad move to pay out anything at all, but I guess they're obeying the 2 judges' ruling.
NO SNAP, no government opening, nothing except substantial reductions in government workers and removal of deadbeats on SNAP.

Make it permanent ... good place to start. Get all illegals off of SNAP, then start requiring work to keep them.

They better only get the 50% they normally get but I could see the gov't absolutely sucking as usual and giving them an additional 100%

The Judge in RI did not say that. In fact the Rhode Island judge was very complimentary of Trump and the swift action of his administration.
"The court greatly appreciates the president’s quick and definitive response to this court’s order and his desire to provide the necessary SNAP funding,"
