If he really wasn’t interested in leaving Ole Miss why would he go through all the speculation and leave a window open that could affect his team in the long run with him possibly leaving? Why not just put it all to rest?

His agent might murder him if he did that.

This is business.

That’s a good way to NOT get a raise

Once he signs his extension, he'll say maybe.

Because at the end of the day if he decides to stay at Ole Miss its going to be with a big extension. Therefore he uses this situation as leverage to get that big extension.

Because he wants more…money, influence, NIL, facilities, recruiting budget… he holds all the cards.

If I told you that I could make you an extra $4 mil a year and all you had to do was say "no comment" for the next month, would you do that?

Leverage for money and the longer he waits, could hurt recruitment at the schools he plays yearly

It’s a win win

He always says he doesn't discuss these things until the season is over. Did the same thing in 2022. Good way to get leverage also.

lets say you take LK at his word and he doesnt care about money and doesnt want to leave ole miss....

what is the best way to get OM fans to donate to NIL, assistant coaching salary pool etc? Act liek you are leaving with no intention of leaving.

but in the end, he is going to listen to all offers and weigh out what each place has to offer...which is what I expect smart people to do anytime they get a job offer.

His bank account.

He will say no when he gets an offer from someone that he's willing to take. Right now, the numbers are just going up and up.

Jimmy Sexton is working all the angles to get all his coaches (and himself) a big fat raise.

No matter what he says, the speculation will continue.

Because that would be lying and lying is wrong.
