Watched the film breakdown and Penning doesn't belong on in the NFL

I knew he was bad, but holy shite, he fricking sucks at everything. I have been watching breakdowns each week and I am convinced he is legitimately retarded. Every time a defense runs a shift or a stunt, it is like the player that runs to his game is completely invisible. 4 years in and simple stunts completely confuse him.

I still remember fans on this site telling us the pre draft trade up into the first round was brilliant, because it ultimately yielded us Olave and Penning. I remember being told Penning will be AllPro
Yeah
That trade was dumb even if both of them were stars. It was dumb because you don’t make that type of trade a week before the draft and just hope someone falls to you. You trade for targets, not draft numbers. It’s even dumber now that both of them are busts

I remember them saying how he plays with a mean streak and what a nasty hardnose football player he was.
He just dominated weak competition, when he got the NFL he got shutdown real quick.

I know everyone agrees, but it just adds more fuel to the fire that Loomis needs to GO. You can't miss on this many 1st rd picks. Scares the shiate out of me that he may have his fingers on the 1st pick in next year's draft....

Exactly what you hope for with first round picks, good backups.
It’s like the idiot on here saying Shough would still be a great draft choice even if he’s just a backup. Spent #40 overall on a backup? You have to be an idiot to have that mindset.

I watched a breakdown this week that genuinely made me want to puke. The interior offensive line is so bad it’s astounding. We spent so much capital there and Penning and Ruiz shouldn’t be on rosters.
Someone has to be held accountable for that mess.

Yes Guard play is absolutely terrible. We need two more guards, and a Center. Unfortunately, McCoy is just about done. We might have another year or two with him. Draft his replacement in this draft!

The 2022 draft with Olave and Penning, with all the capital we used to get them, being busts our aging roster was in trouble. Those guys had to hit.
When that was followed up with an absolute flop of a 2023 draft and our roster was cooked.
In truth we really haven’t had a plus draft since 2017. Really only the 2019 draft had more productive players than not, and most of that production happened for other teams.
