I don't think so. Now, with NIL and the playing field being equal, could he excel and get the recruits he wanted? He told a story about hosting a recruiting weekend and having a Sunday Brunch at his house and he and Ms. Terry both talked afterwards and how all the recruits and families wanted to talk about was how much money. He said he knew then it was time to get out. That has only gotten worse.

I'm not sure if he's the same Saban, but he wouldn't be worse than Kelly and the pure optics of having Saban again would be insane so I'm in

There’s possibly an argument to be made that he’s not the “right” choice.

But it’s a moot point. Because every AD in America would sign up for it regardless of any concerns. You simply don’t not hire Nick Saban if the opportunity presents itself. You don’t even have to think about it.

Saban was the right choice up until 5-6 years ago.He knew 3 years ago that he no longer wanted to coach.

He has nothing to prove. 7 NCs at 2 different schools over a 20 year career

People just don't believe a Coach when he says that he can't work the hours it takes to live up to his standard? Like I don't get this shite.

IF Nick Saban comes here and somehow Orgeron comes back simply as a recruiter, plus Frank Wilson.

Dude, NIL or no NIL, with that kind of recruiting respect and the state of Louisiana, LSU should never have less than the number one recruiting class.

It doesn’t matter. You jump at the opportunity to hire him no matter what.

Even if he didn’t win a title, he brings stability to organizations. Think about where Michigan State, Us, and even Bama are after hiring him. Michigan state went on to have a great 15-20 year run after, we turned in to what we are and Bama is still at the top.

What’s hilarious to me is 80% of the fan base hated this man 3 years ago, but now that he’s not HC at bama and maybe coming to LSU (big maybe) he has become Lord and Savior Saban Christ

I would like John Gruden to get a legitimate shot at the head coach position. He’s a football mind and his players love him. He would appreciate the job and embrace the challenge.

As in the new playoff format? Because his last team won a SEC championship and he was an OT period from going back to a title game. He was 13-2, 11-2, and 12-2 in his final three seasons. All within the new era of NIL and portal.
