Everyone's least favorite stat nerd and Nuss/Perkins hater here. Seeing lots of misinformation by fans about why Bama is better and Im here to set the record straight with actual stats and not feelings.

So Bama is #4 nationally and #1 in the SEC so they should be killing us in every stat right? WRONG. Way more balanced than you think.

Bama Offense LSU offense
2333 Total Passing. 1994 Yards
401 Yds/game 355 yd/game
118 Rushing/game. 106 rushing
34.4 ppg. 25.8 ppg
24th Total Defense. 22nd Total D

"So what, they've got a better offensive line you idiot"

Bama Sacks Allowed 15

LSU sacks allowed 16

So yeah boys, if Nuss doesn't shite the bed on Saturday and Perkins doesn't quit middle of the game like against A&M, we have a legit shot.

They dont have a better run game than we do. They dont have a better Oline than we do, and their QB is better but we've seen Nuss shine in big moments before.

Our Defenses are comparable and as long as we play smart football on all 3 sides of the ball and dont give up punt returns for TDs we should be competitive.

Geaux Tigers.

Their offensive line is about the same caliber as ours, with Tyree.

Not sure why people here keep saying their offensive line is "good".

That said, we don't have Tyree and are on the road. It'd be a miracle if LSU pulled out the W here.

I think Alabama' offense is a better matchup for LSU's defense than A&M, Vandy and Ole Miss. Simpson is mobile, but he's not really a "runner". He's more Cade Klubnik than Marcel Reed. They don't run the ball all that well, and their strength (pass catchers) is LSU's strength (secondary)

Defensive they are good, but not necessarily dominant. That said, LSU's offense has sucked all the way around. IF LSU takes the same approach they have all season, Alabama should win by double digits. Maybe somewhere in the range of 27-13 or so. But if LSU is willing to change what they do offensively, this could be a very interesting game.

Nuss hasn't been good and the OL has struggled. But I think a big reason for that is the offensive plan has been horrible.

Everyone’s OL is better than ours. We literally can’t block anyone and haven’t been able to block anyone all season. To have any shot to win this game on the road, we’ll have to have a remarkable offensive scheme from coaches who have not called plays all season. The defense will have to create some turnovers and we will likely need to win the special teams battle. I do expect us to play with more energy and emotion though.

This is a deceptive stat

We severely limit our offense so that nuss doesn’t get sacked more

ETA: if we ran the plays needed to be an effective offense we would give up 5 sacks a game

They’ve beaten 4 currently ranked teams. LSU has lost to the only 3 currently ranked teams it’s faced.

Alabama held Pavia to 14 points.

LSU has about a puncher’s chance.

This is an absurd statement.

Most people would say Bama has the best offensive line in the SEC.

LSU will beat the spread. I’m pretty confident on that. It’s currently Bama -10.5

But…. Bama is winning the game.

I like the spirit… sadly Nuss paints the bed brown. If they have a game plan that involved VB then we could make it competitive.

Play MVB and put Perk and Pyburn on the QB every play and mix in Pickett now and then.

It'd be a miracle of LSU is within 20 points of Bama...and they won't be. This is going to be an old fashioned barnshed beating. This team has no character, no leaders, no coaching. Bama is playing for a bye in the playoff. Their sides is laser focused.

It took a Heisman winner and future NFL starter to beat them by a point. And our other Heisman winner before that.

If we beat them with this injured, rag-tag group of players and temporary coaches then that would be pretty impressive...but I ain't counting on it.
