#1 running back
#1 receiver
LG
RG
#1 TE
#1 corner
inside backer
Edge player
And probably a qb depending how Shough looks rest of year.

So only 8 or 9 new starters. And only three good draft picks next year and with no cap room to fill these holes.

That’s just the starters. It’s going to take 3 more drafts to build this roster if all things go right.

Some of those holes can be filled in FA (RB, CB, TE) for a decent price. The linemen, WR, and QB (assuming Shough isn’t the guy) are a problem.

Seems kinda pointless to pay RBs in FA when you can draft guys for a small fraction of the price.

Bears rookie running back was drafted in the 7th round.

His one game yesterday was as good as Millers season totals for his career.

Either way that isn’t a high barrier to clear for improvement.

Yeah I mean truthfully at this point we are safe to draft almost any position at any point and it feel like a solid move, except maybe Tackle in the first

I cannot disagree with any of that. It's a sad state of affairs.

Thats why you have to trade back and hopefully get good value. So you can start to fill the holes on this JV roster they have right now.

Saints can't fix everything in 26. That's a good starting point.

This team needs a new team I’m afraid. Keep Shough, the tackles, the safeties and Quincy Riley.
