Frick doing away with the filibuster. You can’t put that back in the box once you let it out.

Keep this behemoth that is the Federal gov’t shutdown.

I need to see real examples of people starving in the streets before it’s re-opened. SNAP is being abused and is full of fraud.

KEEP IT SHUT DOWN

Because he wants to see people get paid that are working, despite who’s “fault” it is.

The government's main job these days is to "legally" steal from one group and give it to another group. I say burn it down, shutting it down isn't enough.

Contrary to what is said on here, there are lots of great people who work for the government that have continued to work and not be paid.

Trump wants people to be paid

Idk how much he cares but his approval ratings are tanking - LINK - which could lead to a much tougher election climate headed into the mid-terms. First and foremost, most Americans want politicians to do their jobs.

That’s not a particularly well thought out post. The shutdown is not just doing damage to SNAP recipients, and it’s not reforming the program…

Also, this is a dumb idea. Do folks realize it's not just Civilians in the Gov't being impacted? Real life Active, Reserves and Officers for all branches of the DoD are "sort of" being paid and definitely will NOT be getting paid shortly.

Not to mention TSA, ATC's etc. Just on the civilian side, it's gonna be a cluster and a half during Thanksgiving season and folks trying to travel.
If that's truly what you want, don't bitch when all flights are delayed, if not outright canceled. Keep that same energy if it impacts you/your family.

If the airports are packed with delays for Thanksgiving, people will lose their shite. I can't even imagine the shite show it would be for Christmas.

Thankfully don't have any work travel planned in the near future

I think a better question would be why will the democrats not vote to reopen the government.

Haven't republicans voted like 12 times and each time not enough of the democrats will vote yes to get it passed.

I’m an engineer with the USAF. We’ve been working diligently to keep our fleet flying. A large portion of sustainment and maintenance are done by civilians. We work with or without pay. If it’s all the same to you, I’d like to be able to put forth a good Thanksgiving for my family.

Because there are people that are not getting paid. I have family that is in the military, they are finding money to pay them now, but that is rumored to be drying up. Even if they get back pay some families can not survive missing pay checks. This is an issue. It doesn't help that a certain political party sues every time they find the money to pay our service men and women. The dems are not doing themselves any favors at this point.

Ask the DEMs why it is shutdown. That’ll get you closer to the truth than “why does Trump blah-blah-blah.”

Sorry but no. I'll be more than happy to help you out with food on Thanksgiving, but frick the fact these politicians hold people out for bait like this. The spending is outrageous and shite needs to change.

But I do hope you have a good Thanksgiving either way.
