How to get LSU fans to stay a whole game and restore Tiger Stadium to Death Valley?

Besides just winning, of course. But, even if we’re winning, the stadium empties out in the 3rd quarter of SEC games all the time unless it’s Alabama.

How do we Tiger Stadium back?

Keep the score close so everyone will want to see what happens…jk
Honestly it’s just winning. That’s it

Reconfigure seating, add additional clubs, get better cell coverage. The concourses suck, bathrooms and concessions are a joke.

Winning isn’t going to make all the problems disappear, but there needs to be some major upgrades to the stadium.

The infrastructure surrounding campus also has not been upgraded to help people off campus quicker.

It's become more of a corporate, social status event with more people on their phones than even watching the game. Times have changed and doubtful the true mystique of TS will ever be what it once was.

The fans will still leave early. Tailgating all day wearing folks out and horrendous after game traffic is a bad mix. Game has to go to OT against a Top 10 team to keep stadium full.

Lock all the exits.

Probably not feasible, but just spitballing here, since it looks like we're having a brainstorming session.

Something about those Kelly teams made the stadium lifeless sometimes. The teams just came out lacking energy and the stadium reflected it.

Nah this has been a problem for quite a while before Kelly ever got here. More like since the last years of the Miles era.

They’ll never do it, but by all that is holy, figure out a way to make freaking cell phones work. We’re completely cut off in the stadium. No text, no calls, no internet.

Also…show freaking replays. Why is TS the only GD stadium in the country that refuses to show a freaking replay. Half the time we have no idea what’s going on in the SEZ. At least a working phone would allow us to check here to see what just happened on the field. Watching a game sucks in TS.

It's simply putting a good product on the field. Tiger fans are a prideful bunch, and certainly a little spoiled now. We can't stand to watch mediocrity, especially knowing how much money is invested into the program.

Baw, that ship sailed years ago. Unless it is Alabama or maybe Ole Miss and it is a one score game under 5 minutes left, people will leave early.

You can’t. Fans aren’t what they used to be. Nobody will admit that here. But truth is truth.

It will never go back and like the last guy said, fans aren’t what they used to be. Proof is in the pudding, if you just read all the post on tiger droppings in the past few years. We all have become pathetic and we can’t help our selves. We have become soft and we tear down everything.

But on top of all of this. I think what killed the atmosphere and pushed the past “real” fans out, is the piped in music. Not allowing the crowd to what we do.

Combination of toxic attitudes and tech/piped in music pushing out our history.

It’s all over and will never ever be back.

Shorten the game. 3.5-4 hours in a tiger stadium seat is tough. People always say traffic, but it’s really the fact that the majority of the free parking is around a mile away from the stadium.

No. It’s been a steady decline since 2007. Every “improvement” to stay with the times has kicked the true fans out.

Cannons and fireworks=no more Mike
Piped in music=no more GBFTL
Increased capacity=worse traffic
Aramark/digital payment/Alcohol sales=no more Hawkers
TV=less football/more timeouts/replays for longer games.

Some other things that gave the boot was giving a coach that has never won $100 million dollars.

Lastly, was the way 2021 season ticket holders were treated. JBE forcing vax cards or Covid tests upon entry caused many people to not just opt out but to be gone for good.

Many of the older season ticket holders quit after the BLM/Covid situation. Some opted out of the year and then found it quite comfortable to sit at home and not fight the traffic/etc.

I feel like I’ll always be there for every game but it has become less enjoyable between the piped in music, no replays, no cell service, alcoholic drunks, weed smokers, and uninspired football.

Solutions that will never happen but would work IMO:

1. Stop putting the games on tv. If the only way people can see the game is to be at the game, they will stay.

2. Tailgating cannot start til 3 hours before game time. If people aren’t so drunk/worn out before the game, they’ll have more energy at the game. Also, no ticket to the game, not allowed on campus.

3. Lower ticket prices so the common man can afford them, and stop selling any tickets but the suites to corporate entities.

4. Decrease stadium capacity to decrease traffic before and after the game
