What does culture fit mean to you? I personally don’t think it’s that hard to fit our culture. I think someone with a big or outgoing personality, especially if they have a sense of humor and embraces our food culture can fit in regardless of where they were from originally. Also need to present a toughness that can bleed off onto the football team.Les had a big personality and a huge sense of humor. Saban had a good sense of humor. Little more dry than Les but guy definitely had personality and was driven. Both gave off an aura of confidence and toughness as well. Of course you have to win. Coach O was the blue print for culture fit and without the winning ultimately it didn’t really matter.

Can you run an offense? Can you recruit? Can you develop players? Do you hire good assistants? Do you put your players in the best possible position to win?
Ok good, you are a culture fit.

You nailed it, has to be able to relate to players, recruits and staff. You can be from anywhere in the world and be able to do that. Anyone who embraces Louisiana and wins games is a culture fit. Les is the most midwestern man to ever live and he fit. Dinardo was from the Bronx. Just recruit well and win, and be your genuine self.

Work ethic and win. All it should be.

Gotta realize how important LSU winning and being competitive is to the state fanbase, gotta be willing to hire coaches with La recruiting ties ie Frank/Raymond and the like, must be a genuine HC who cares about his players/and staff, be accessible to staff/players, know their limitations as an x and o’s coach and hire coaches with strengths that compliment ur weaknesses, coach toughness and aggression. Know the expectations of LSU football before u commit to the job

Win championships, you're a fit even if you are not the most likable guy.
Win at a very good clip, don't make the layoffs, and be a buthead, you are not a fit.
Lose a lot and you are not a fit.

Culture fit simply means you genuinely embrace the relationships of the LSU football world -- internal and external. Beyond that, I don't think it matters if you're more of a rah rah guy (Orgeron) or process guy (Saban). If you're not relational and authentic, you'll lose trust. Louisianians are social people before anything else.

Culture fit means “winning.” Period.
Saban was an a-hole - no one cares because he won.
Miles was “quirky” when he won everyone rallied around him and it was endearing. When he started losing that same quirkiness made him a buffoon.
Orgeron “talked like us.” When he won everyone loved it. As soon as he started losing he sounded like a moron from down the bayou.
Brian Kelly was lauded when he came as being an “adult” and having coherent press conferences. When he was losing it was he never answers questions and has dumbass responses like pounding a table or yelling at Cauble.
The same thing will happen with Kiffin (if he comes). His tweets and little insults will be fantastic and the fans will eat it up as long as he is winning. If he starts losing then people will jump over him for being childish.

Hard working with a bit of intensity or fire that has his team coming out to play hard as frick, that embraces Louisiana.
That's the culture fit
When ESPN says it they mean a character buffoon they can make fun of

Work hard, recruit, show passion, and love the process. You embrace those things the winning will come and the city and state will embrace you as one of their own. Always has and always will.
I really wish Jay Johnson had a twin but as a Football Coach for us to hire. Hes about as West Coast as it gets but he embodies those traits and look hes beloved by everyone outside 2 or 3 trolls who don't represent LSU.
