Reading all these people saying Lanes coming or whoever and their inside people are telling them we are suring up NIL coffers etc blah blah blah. Instant you know they are lying and know nothing. NIL college collectives etc is OVER! Profit sharing is completely different.

Lane could easily finish in the bottom half of SEC if he stays at Ole Miss. Winning at Ole Miss is not sustainable.

With Lane as coach, its sustainable

They use college collectives to pay HS players. It’s not dead.

Florida boards think Lane is a lock for them

It’s clear you know nothing. NIL still exists and it is different from rev sharing All NIL deals must be cleared through an accounting firm

Exactly! And Mississippi is still one of the states where that’s not allowed

Ummm NIL is definitely not dead.
Rev share and NIL are 2 completely different things.

Kiffin will be a gator and orgeron will be DC and recruiting coach if he leaves Ole Miss.

It’s not at level of what was going on in college. FYI MS doesn’t allow it.

Why go to Florida and compete with Florida State and Miami for players.

That’s my point, and they prove it with their NIL negotiations bs!

It’s not dead Chicken, but he’s not completely off base. NIL must now pass through a clearinghouse where the value will be vetted. Contrary to popular belief, NIL must have value. As of last school year, no one looked. Well, they’re looking now.
I was at a fundraiser with Coach Johnson a few weeks ago. We were told even the money given to the Coaches Committee was not going to go to players like it did last year. Most of the conversation revolved around trying to determine how we approach more big spenders in Louisiana to get them to provide NIL deals that will pass muster.

NIL can go to HS players when they commit and it can be tied to future appearances, so if they go somewhere else and can't fulfill the appearances, they have to pay it back.

You may want to research high school versus already enrolled. There are high school commits right now cashing checks from the collective. Once enrolled, rev share kicks in.

NIL collectives are still going to be used, but it's not a free for all anymore.

MS doesn't allow MS hs kids to sign NIL deals. Ole Miss can still pay out of state kids.
