What would have this team been like with a mobile QB?

Probably still not good tbh. You’re not particularly great defensively, specifically against good offenses and your OL is still dreadful. A mobile guy could bail you out of some things but not everything.

You can still have a pocket QB, if you have a good line.
If you're going to have a shitty line like ours, your QB better have some wheels.

What would have this team been like with a coach who cared about trying?

Some of you need to take a class or something... Football 101. A running QB doesn't mean anything when there are free runners at the QB every series.

This team would be top 10 with JD5. They would have certainly outscored Vandy and Ole Miss. JD5 almost beat Ole Miss when LSU had its worst defense ever but with this years D would’ve done what 2023 couldn’t and held on to the lead.

Remember LSU only lost by a TD to Vandy and OM. You put a heisman trophy winner at QB in those games for LSU, no doubt in my mind LSU wins and they probably beat A&M

Get a coach who cares and we're better at every facet of the game. BK didn't have a worthy o line coach. He didn't have a worthy OC. Most of all he didn't put the time in.

OP think that the QB that has 12 rush yards on the year is mobile because he's black lol

Either Ole Miss quarterback would be an upgrade…….but quarterback was not the issue. Nuss was totally adequate, or more. Players hated playing for Kelly. It’s that simple. Watch how many players on this roster will be playing on Sunday next year? A lot. Coaching was the problem, not QB. I would not be surprised if we win out now that BK is out.

frick a pocket qb! Goddman man’l! That time has passed with those statues. Be athletic. Mobile does not mean Jayden or Lamar. The threat of being able to take off at any level presents real problems.

Better, but still soft. Too soft to win under Kelly no matter what.
