Lane Kiffin’s been called a clown more times than he can count. So, here’s my question: Is Kiffin ready to join LSU's circus?

I mean, I guess if the rubber nose fits …

quote:

Here’s LSU’s alignment: The school lacks a president. The interim has been on the job for several months. Its athletic director has been publicly humiliated. The board answers to the governor, who’s experiencing declining approval ratings, according to recent polling.

So, you say you want to be LSU’s football coach … good luck!

Keep in mind these comments are coming from journalists. One of the lowest forms of life.

Kiffin wants the $$

LSU just did that.

He's not nearly as desired at LSU as outsiders think.

Not for the $$ he will demand.

Yeah, but come on, this is a story that doesn't require much spin. Just common sense.

People will be shocked to hear Lane hates Woodward and is more likely to come now. SW was never going to hire anyone that didn’t impress his BRCC buddies

Lane actually has a different view than most on money. He said recently that he will never make a decision based solely on money. It doesn't seem to be what motivates him. Essentially, if he wants to be somewhere, he won't sacrifice that opportunity because someone can offer him more, which can be an advantage to a school trying to hire him if he genuinely wants to be there. It can also be an advantage to Ole Miss if he doesn't want to leave. He isn't going to leave just because he could make more money. He said money can't buy happiness, and he won't make decisions based on it, and that he constantly has to argue with Jimmy Sexton about it.

Kiffin on money

It's actually the second time I've seen him say that. Once to Pat Mcafee and he said it previously in a press conference. He truly doesn't get motivated by it. He does what he wants to do either way.

LSU no longer has an athletic director thankfully.

Woodward did enough humiliation of the department on his own.

Or the white knight to quell all this crap.

If Kiffin got here and won, no one would talk about this past week at all.

So you’re saying the national media has a hard on for LSU? There’s a shocker.

Never seen this before.

And you believe him?

Everyone likes to say that they don’t care about money…especially the rich. The man is making what…at least $8 mil per year and wants everyone to think he doesn’t care about money?

I'm just in shock at LSU athletics in the last week... lay an egg to A&M, fire Kelly with clearly no plan, Gov. steps in makes dumb comments, AD fired, interim AD, supposedly interim AD will have authority to make hire.

And yet as an Arkansas fan I have absolute confidence that at the end of the day ya'll make a better hire than we do.
That's the confidence level I have in how far we have fallen in the last decade.
