I believe the violent crime rate decrease hit its peak under Obama, not that he specifically had much, if anything, to do with it (it started when Clinton was President and continued through GWB and the first Obama admin)
However, the response to the post-Covid spike is very impactful and Trump may see rates lower than our previous lows during the Obama admin.
