Woodward destroyed LSU basketball firing Wade and hiring McMahon, now he has football is in his sights. Who in their right mind would let Woodward make this hire.

Maybe.
The problem is you don’t do this in public like this.

Pretty much every other major university.

EXACTLY. And the only people who see no issue with this are the ones who blindly go with anybody with an "R" next to their name

It's hard to believe Landry is right about anything because he's such a massive retard.
And I'm a conservative.
And I'm a conservative.

I’m curious why Woodward hasn’t fired McMahon.

To everyone who kept saying, “it would be more costly to keep Kelly than fire him”… how’s that feeling now?
For three short days, LSU had the entire sports world, media, former players, coaches, backing the firing. Then our “great” governor turned it into a circus, even landing on the Pat McAfee Show.
Now? Everyone’s laughing at LSU, and no elite coach is going to touch this job. Welcome to Auburn/Florida football hell, folks.
And if you think this is a nothing burger and people like me are overreacting, you’ve got your blinders on. Pat McAfee doesn’t have a governor on his show because the governor is doing a great job for LSU… he had him on because it was pure comedy. Pat knew exactly what he was doing…giving a microphone to a total whacko.

Yes and I’m a R, but this is BS. Using LSU as a political tool is wrong. He’s gonna scare off potential candidates and this will hurt him politically as it should. We are going back to go old ole boy Louisiana crap.

The massive donor that is funding the buyout needs to call Landry and tell him to stfu

Cool so willingly suffocate LSU Football to death over LSU basketball?

Landry is showing his arse. He thinks he can take some Trump Junior/populist approach to this about saving taxpayers but the fact is he wanted Kelly gone and the boosters were always paying the buyout. How is the clause in Kelly’s contract any different than previous contracts? He needs to step aside before we end up with Frank Wilson as our head coach.

It is the playbook of modern politicians, anything and everything is a political tool to get what your party wants and grab the most power
My platform is and will be for a long time that parties and cultish adherence to party lines, is the downfall of our country
I swear Landry better be out next election and not by someone who wish to bring back woke/cancel and not another full maga mode
Still wish Graves would've ran

He made a huge hire in Brian Kelly, stolen from Notre Dame at market pay, everyone lauded the hire nationally, and then got rid of him the minute things started getting bad, without waiting too long. Our program is in excellent shape for a new coach to step in and win right away.
This is an absurd take.
If you want a big time hire, Woodward is great at that. Basketball program is a totally different animal and situation and the coach is gone if this year doesn't go well, and for not much money relatively. Woodward has played a pivotal role in the new arena being built as well.

Last year he likely should have. Raised some more NIL money and he has 1 year left to make major improvement or he is gone.

That has been my contention all along. Work behind closed doors, get things accomplished and just stfu.

Too late. Plus the big donors are probably yanking his strings. Also, the most dangerous place to be is between Landry and a camera when there is a cultural issue involved.....and this counts more cultural than economic.
