Wilson was asked if nuss is the QB1 and he said yes, but mvb also has skills that could help the team win. He said they need to cater to what nuss does well.

Nuss starting with mvb coming in situationally throughout the game?

He’ll prob get rocked and go to the sideline
MVB will take over.

Wait and see

I firmly believe that if Nuss is the starter going forward and he is still making bad decisions or looks hurt, that politics is too heavily involved and that is a large part of why we are where we are.

It’s obvious that Nuss is hurt/makes bad decisions/didn’t put in the work over the off season but he is still the starter.

If Nuss struggles and VB goes in then I will have hope.

I don't think some people know how bad Sloan was. Pate said some defensive staffs were laughing about how bad LSU offensive staff was.

I think prioritizing running the ball consistently and having variation in formations and being less bland and obvious will help Nuss. Hell, it should help everyone.

Unfortunately there is not one single thing that Nuss does well

There is absolutely no reason at this point in the season with all that has happened that MVB shouldn't at least get some real playing time

I can see him saying he is “injured” and can’t play anymore, if he knows that mvb will get some game time in situations.

What if that is what Nuss cannot handle in real time =

I think this in particular in red zone situations.

Nuss has to be at his A game to stay in. No more of his daddy's boy shenanigans. He is going to be on a short leash.

If this is not given a real trial - and not just a spot or two, but real continuation of being the QB responsible for the next series also - then it is meaningless.

There is nothing to be gained for LSU to have Nuss out there trying to salvage his pro stats by sacrificing the other players' desire for an admirable effort to actually establish a team spirit.

I think we use Nuss only if all other options at qb fail miserably.

I admire Nuss's past loyalty to LSU - but unfortunately he was not prepared to lead. There are 11 or 12 other players on the field with equal loyalty and having put in the extra work to excel. I've heard of no such effort by Nuss in the off-season or after practice.

For better or worse - the time for Nuss to improve his pro prospects has passed - it is now a top priority to look only for what is best for LSU football future.

Nuss is the starter, but his leash will actually exist, especially if he does not execute and go through progressions, as a starting QB should.

Nussmeyer should be done. He didn't have much of a line to protect him but he was making really bad throws when he did have time. Looking back at the Aggie game, he makes that throw to Green near the sideline and he is going to make a HUGE gain, maybe even scored. Instead Nuss threw it behind him. MVB is likely the man next year so we might as well give him a head start.

Nuss should sit out so he can focus on planning his wedding b/c his football career is all but over. A non mobile QB is dead in todays football game.

I'm all for giving MVB a package, can't hurt anything. Mix it up.

The firing of any coach isn't going to change the bad form and poor footwork of many the OL magically.

Injuries will determine the QB situation primarily. Having said that, Nuss is hurting and has no hope of avoiding any further injury. Limited time and a big dose of MVB seems to be the logical course of action.

What does anyone expect to see from Nussmeier to be different going forward? I have seen enough. Try someone else.

In a perfect world it would be Nuss 2 to 1 vs VB as QB
