Gruden- has never coached college and hasn’t coached anywhere in 7 years. Plus has baggage. Not happening.

Urban Meyer- hasn’t coached in several years, is old and has baggage. Not happening.

Kelvin Sheppard- only been a DC in NFL for 6 months. Took over an already good defense and had one of the better NFL coaches watching over his shoulder. Love the dude but not happening.

Honey Badger- One of my all time favorite Tigers but has ZERO coaching experience..not happening.

Dan Lanning- would be a pretty good hire but his $20 mil buyout by itself makes it near impossible and then add on what Nike would pay him to stay and guess what…Not happening.

Kenny Dillingham- I really like this guy but he truly is at his dream job. Not happening.

Day and Smart are already at top tier schools, have won Natty’s and have no reason to leave. Not happening.

Any top tier NFL coaches- already being paid more and don’t have to deal with the college bullshite…Not happening.

Joe Brady- Has publicly stated he does not like college and prefers the NFL. Not happening.

Dave Aranda- Would take him back in a heartbeat as a DC but has proven he is not a head coach. Not happening.

Orgeron- Mot hiring back a coach we just fired less than 4 years ago. Not happening.

Clark Lea, Shane Beamer- haven’t done enough at current job to warrant a look. Clark is winning because of Pavia and his assistants. Not happening.

Marcus Freeman- Dude knows he has it made in South Bend. And Notre Dame isn’t loosing two consecutive coaches to us. Not happening.

Jeff Fisher—please. Not happening

Deion Sanders- Not happening.

Saban- He is not coming back. Too old and left cause of NIL. Small chance he has had time to rejuice and put together NIL so you have to make the call and that’s the only reason I didn’t list him above. You have to make him tell you NO. The other guys above you don’t even waste time and energy on.

Lane Kiffen- I don’t think we get him but there is a very real opportunity that it could happen

Dabo Sweeney- Clemson won’t fire him cause of his buyout but he may be ready for a change of scenery and has ties to LSU.

Eli Drinkowitz- Could be had and has solid head coaching resume.

James Franklin- I think overall he is a good coach but would be a weird fit like Kelly and has also struggled to win the big games. But I could see why he would be at least in the discussion depending on how other dominoes fell.

Dan Mullen- Don’t want but even though a poor recruiter, he is a good coach and I could see his name at least coming up.

Curt Cignettie- I think he is happy where he is at but worthy of being in discussion and is feasibly obtainable.

James Summarall, Rhett Lashlee- lower tier but definitely has earned consideration due to HC experience and success.

Handful of offensive and defensive coordinators worthy of being in discussion although I don’t think LSU hires someone without HC experience.
