Sheppard isn't going to be the next coach. A 1 year coordinator in the NFL doesn't get promoted to a top 3 college HC job even if he is an alum. If he really wants to be the LSU HC, there will be an opportunity down the line for him, but not yet.

I would say zero chance, but concerned if he somehow won out if they would hire him. Of course that isn't likely, but I initially felt like he shouldn't be a consideration even if he ran the table. Now I think the pressure would be too high for them to ignore him. I am skeptical of interims getting the most out of a team during the season and then taking over for good when they weren't a good HC previously.
